How to Create Google Form

Google Forms are a full-fledged tool that comes with your Google account. You can add standard question types, drag and drop questions in the order you like, customize the form with simple photo or color themes, and gather responses in forms or save them to a Google Sheets spreadsheet. Google forms are great to conduct surveys. They give the option to collect this data anonymously or keep it open and then you can trace the email of the answers that you get. While there are plenty of ways and web polling services that let you create polls and surveys for free, but Google Forms surely is better and convenient than them, anyway and in every way. You can create any number of polls and surveys using Google Docs for free. Also, the forms created by Google docs are mobile-friendly and people can, therefore, people can send in their responses directly from their phone browsers. Now that you know the pros of Google form, in this post, we will tell you how you can create a Google form yourself. Here’s how you can create Google form. As like other tools, Google forms provides two options when starting out. You can either choose from pre-made templates or create your own from scratch. The template categories included are Personal, Work and Education. You can, of course, customize these templates in order to suit your needs. How to make a Google Form using a blank template. ● Create a Title and Description. The first step is the most basic and important one, you have to create a title for your survey. As well as you also have to put in a description of what it will include. Also, note you have the option to add images or video clips in each section of the survey. Now before proceeding click the settings button in the top right corner of your screen. This will bring up a menu in which you can decide whether its mandatory or not to provide their email address and only allow them to submit a form once. And whether you would like to automatically send a receipt confirmation or allow respondents to edit their responses after submitting a form. Once you are done with these steps you can begin inputting your questions and creating the structure of your form. ● Add your questions. The next section in the blank form template will ask you to type your first question. This part would be easier for you if you have thought about or have already put done the questions that you want to ask. Depending on the purpose of the form you can choose the applicable question type. ● Add images and videos You can add images and videos to the form that you might want to add. ● Adding Sections. You can add as many sections you would like to a single Google Form document. It also allows you to separate questions based on specific focus. ● Design your theme. After you have filled up other things its time to make your form aesthetically more appealing and good to look at. In the top right corner of Forms main screen, click the palette icon and there you will be presented with a number of colors to choose from. You have the option to choose from your own options or add from the Google images provided. Once you have selected an image, Google Forms will automatically determine the best background color to go with the image. After you are done with this step you will be ready to make your form available to your audience. ● Distribute Your Google Form. To begin making your Google Form available to customers, click on the Send button in the top right corner. There are various ways in which you can deliver the form like- Email the form. Provide a web link to your form. Embedding your form within your website. Sending your form via Google +, Facebook or Twitter. ● Gathering Response Data. As people start to respond you will be able to see the response on the main page of your form. The result will be shown in different forms depending on the type of questions. The various types can be Graph, Pie Chart or Google Sheet Document. This is how you will be able to put together a basic Google Form for yourself or your organization.
